Total Project Engineering

Total Project Engineering is the term we use for everything on the ‘front-end’ and the ‘back-end’ of the project. This means prototype molds, process development, complete project engineering services, and sampling the finished molds and tooling once they are built to test for performance. These are the services that our customers look for, because it allows them to improve their time-to-market and project success rates while more effectively using their own resources.

Part Design Assistance for Manufacturability

Because we work with projects of all complexity levels, we interact with our customers at the initial development phase to make recommendations on part design features that ease manufacturing concerns and improve overall quality. Additionally, adopting a ‘design-for-manufacturing’ approach can often compress the development timeline.

Process and Method Selection

We can assist in recommending new capital equipment for your project or designing for a process that works with your existing equipment. All types of Compression, Transfer, Injection Mold Tooling are within our capabilities.

Prototype Molds & Initial Sampling

Because of our lean structure and ample capacity, we can design, build, and sample or deliver prototype tooling directly to your facility in very quick time frames – as little as 1 or 2 weeks. We have molding equipment to sample most mold types, and can assist with compound procurement if needed.

Scale-Up to Production Mold Design

Once the prototype molding is complete, the samples will be evaluated and tested. Often there may be small changes and adjustment to a prototype mold – to improve part dimensions or capability, eliminate processing or demolding issues, or adjust the cosmetics or surface finish for appearance. Once these details are completed, the part is ready for scale-up production.
